We all need a reason for what we do…And mine is…No one else is doing it.
I wish our family had more time. I wish our sons could have truly known him before his heart attack and stroke. I wish he could have played with our grandchildren.
And I am still sad, lonely, and I miss him.
I want his sacrifice, his suffering to have meaning.
I know he would have done it all again.
And I know there are so many others who are feeling the same.
Please know-we are not alone,
Yvette
Why This Matters -
We all Need a Reason
I wrote this poem, “The War Still Took My Life” for Curt in haste to meet a timeline.
It may not be “good”, but it is real.
Please contact me if you would like to use it.
